5 Tips To Free Up Space On Your iPhone

The invention of the iPhone was revolutionary and now it seems as if almost everyone owns one these Apple smartphones. However, do you ever get frustrated with your iPhone’s storage ability? We’ve all gotten that dreaded pop-up message on our phones saying we’re out of storage… so how do we make that go away? Here are a few simple ways you can free up some room on your iPhone and not have to worry about seeing that dreaded message for a long time:
1. Identify What’s Taking Up The Most Space: First, you need to figure out what exactly is taking up so much space! The three biggest things that are known to take up the most space are Apps, photos, and messages. To find out what’s taking up the most room on your particular iPhone, go to Settings>General>Storage & iCloud Usage>Manage Storage. Once you are at this screen, you’ll be able to see what’s taking up the most space on your phone.
2. Load Photos To A Cloud Service: The chances are that you’ve already discovered your photos and videos are eating up the most space on your device. Thankfully, though, there are a few ways to free up this space on your phone without losing all of your prized pictures. There are a lot of helpful apps out there like Google Photos or Apple Photos (or even Amazon Prime) that allow you to upload your photos to a “cloud” so that you can then delete them from your phone. Another solution to this problem is to use a gadget like the iXpand Flash drive, which is specifically made for iPads and iPhones. This device is similar to a flash drive for a computer, except it is made for a phone instead!
3. Manage Your Messages:  Many times you will find that those long chains of text messages and iMessages can really start to take up a lot of storage on your phone, especially if they contain pictures or videos. To fix this problem, try using a program such as iMazing that allows you to transfer everything to this separate space. The software will allow you to manually go in, save the photos from the messages and then delete the chains from your phone. Another option could be to tap on Settings>Messages, and then deselect the option “Keep Messages Forever.” If you don’t want to go that route, you can also select the option to keep your messages for 30 days or for one year.
4. Manage Your Apps: Some popular third-party apps like Facebook and Twitter can really eat up space on your iPhone. Recently, Twitter has added a cache-cleaning feature to the latest version of the app. In order to use this feature, you need to go to the app, tap Me>Settings>Data Usage>Media Storage, and then clear it.

5. Clear Your Internet Cache: If you are one of the people that uses the popular web browser Safari, it might be storing data and web history information. To clear this, you have to tap on Settings, then scroll down to find the Safari tab, and select “Clear History and Website Data.”
